ABOUT

Mt Fuji is a self directed brief inspired by Briefbox. The project involves creating an image of a chosen landmark, and an accompanying logo, which could hypothetically be used for souvenirs posters. I've chosen Mt Fuji as my landmark. The wordmark is devised from looking at a Japanese style stamp seal. The poster design contains the three main elements that I believe give the mountain it's character: the mountain itself, the plumes of cloud that have been historically pictured engulfing the mountain, and the cherry blossoms that grow on the mountain and surrounding area. I've designed variations of the mountain in the daytime, in the evening and at night time so that a customer could choose from the three colour palettes available.
