I am a Birmingham based artist and illustrator whose work is inspired by nature, mythology and history. I work primarily with pen and oil paint, using traditional, time-tested methods to build detailed, intricate artworks.
 

Through drawing and painting, I explore subjects slowly and through sustained attention. This process becomes a way of engaging more deeply with both the subject and the act of making itself.
 

I am really interested in mythology and storytelling as ways of interpreting the world. These narratives create space for symbolism and the mystery of the unknown. These are qualities feel increasingly important in a culture shaped by rationalism, technology and certainty.
 

My work seeks to reconnect the viewer with this sense of magic in the natural world.
