A self directed project, inspired by a brief from Briefbox. The brief was to design three bottle labels for sweet chilli sauce, one 'Sweet and Mild' flavour, one 'Medium' flavour, one 'Hot' flavour. I named the brand Fuego, Spanish for 'fire'. The labels are inspired by Mexico, the perceived origin of the chilli pepper. The patterns transform across the label designs: as the sauce gets spicier, the shapes become sharper, and skulls begin to replace the flowers. I've then created patterns using the sauce itself. I photographed the resulting patterns, and used these to create poster designs to promote the products.
